So far my favorite part about GL:TAS is how the team appreciates and respects Aya.

Even from the beginning, from the first time she spoke they have treated her as an asset to the team, have entrusted her with many things that jeopardize their well-being and things that could inhibit their ability to return home; and they’ve done it gladly and with assurance that no one else could perform the task better.

They have never once treated her as a.) expendable, because she is a robot, or b.) incompetent, because she is a woman. And I think that speaks volumes for the maturity and sensibility for those in the show and those who created it.
